The Hemorrhagic Stroke Center of the Ewha Womans University Cerebrovascular Hospital provides prevention, diagnosis, and treatment for a broad range of hemorrhagic cerebrovascular diseases.
The Center has the country's leading cerebrovascular surgeons on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, providing surgical and interventional treatments of the highest level tailored to each patient. The operating room dedicated to cerebrovascular disease is equipped with a cutting-edge Kinveno electron microscope and Brain Lab navigation equipment, the first of its kind in Korea, to perform complex open craniotomy surgeries, while the interventional treatment room dedicated to cerebrovascular disease is equipped with the latest angiographic equipment to perform neuro-interventional treatments.
In particular, we are leading the treatment of large and complex cerebral aneurysms by performing recently introduced cerebral flow diversion stenting and cerebral aneurysm embolization using WEB equipment with excellent results. In addition, we have opened a cutting-edge hybrid operating room to provide hybrid treatment involving surgery and procedures at the same time for complex cerebrovascular diseases that are difficult to treat with surgery or a single procedure.
As the only hospital in Korea where all patients in the Neurological Intensive Care Unit are given single rooms, we provide the highest level of acute treatment services to patients who have suffered a severe cerebral hemorrhage. We also provide customized treatment by managing the risk factors for each individual patient to prevent recurrence.
The Hemorrhagic Stroke Center is dedicated to helping patients suffering from cerebrovascular diseases to recover their health by providing personalized treatment and to minimizing aftereffects for their successful return to a healthy life.
