The Department of Pain Medicine treats a wide range of acute and chronic pain disorders including chronic pain, headache, facial pain, trigeminal neuralgia, facial spasm, chest and abdominal pain, lower back/limb pain, cancer pain, postherpetic neuralgia, joint disease, and spinal disc herniation. Doctor's office, outpatient treatment room, mobile X-ray fluoroscopy (C-arm) treatment room, extracorporeal shock wave room, and examination room are all built in a close proximity, enabling efficient patient care and at the same time, removing hassles from those who have difficulties moving due to pain so that they can benefit from safe and accurate diagnosis and treatment on the same day. We are continuously researching how advanced medical techniques and therapeutic devices including minimally invasive interventional procedures can mitigate acute or chronic pain of patients in an effort to provide improved quality of life and quick return to daily life.
