The Lung Center performs specialized care for patients with lung diseases including bronchial and lung tumors including lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, bronchiectasis, pneumonia, pulmonary tuberculosis, nontuberculous mycobacteria lung disease, interstitial lung disease such as pulmonary fibrosis and pleural disease, as well as critical patients. In the pursuit of the above, multidisciplinary treatment system has been established with Radiology, Pathology, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Oncology, and Rehabilitation Medicine.
The Lung Center treats patients who suffer from cough, sputum, dyspnea, hemoptysis, and chest pain. The following diseases are diagnosed and treated at Lung Center.
1. Tumors: Lung cancer, endobronchial tumor, mediastinal tumor, mesothelioma
2. Airway diseases: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, asthma, bronchiectasis
3. Infectious diseases: Pneumonia, pulmonary tuberculosis, nontuberculous mycobacteria pulmonary disease
4. Interstitial lung diseases: Pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary asbestosis, pneumoconiosis
5. Pleural diseases: Pleurisy, pleural effusion, pneumothorax, hemothorax
6. Pulmonary vascular diseases: Pulmonary thromboembolism, pulmonary arterial hypertension
7. Critical care: Acute respiratory failure, acute respiratory distress syndrome, sepsis
