Urologic Oncology part offers cutting-edge medical services on the basis of minimal invasive surgeries such as robot/laparoscopic surgeries. Most common surgeries using robots include prostate cancer surgery and partial nephrectomy. We are putting our utmost efforts to promote precise resection of tumor and help maintain normal functions post-surgery; i.e., in case of prostate cancer surgery, peripheral nerve blood vessels and sphincter are preserved as much as possible during prostate cancer surgeries, while damage to unaffected kidney is minimized during renal tumor resection.

Robot Genitourinary Reconstruction Surgery Clinic (Robot GURS clinic) 

In particular, we introduced ‘Da Vinci SP’, the most recent, fourth generation robot-assisted surgery device, and we have succeeded in prostate cancer surgery through a single-site robotic surgery with only umbilical incision for the first time ever in Korea. Single-site robotic surgery is not only used in prostate cancer surgeries but also in many other urologic surgeries. These surgeries deliver a very high patient satisfaction level as the postoperative pain is minimal, recovery is faster, and the scar at the area of umbilical incision is barely noticeable.

Target diseases of the Urologic Oncology part include prostate cancer, renal cancer, bladder cancer, renal pelvis/ureteral cancer, and testicular cancer. Beyond the surgeries, the Urologic Oncology part is actively involved in multidisciplinary treatments with the Departments of Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Radiology, and Pathology in order to offer individual patients best customized treatment.

Professor Hana Yoon who is a female urology specialist runs a Urinary Pain Healing Clinic and Gender & Sexology Clinic based on the detailed specialty in urination disorder and urinary incontinence as well as female sexology and offers top-class treatments in the nation. 

Dysuria part concerns treatments of all types of chronic bladder diseases such as overactive bladder, stress urinary incontinence, interstitial cystitis, chronic relapsing cystitis, chronic urologic pain, and chronic pelvic pain and various bladder dysfunctions caused by nerve dysfunction of bladder. Not only do these treatments provide options for medication, but also provided include biofeedback, physical therapy such as extracorporeal magnetic innervation, and latest incontinence surgery; and up-to-date surgical methods for correcting various bladder-related diseases including organ prolapses within bladder, vagina, and pelvic cavity using a single-site robot and bladder augmentation using intestine (partial artificial bladder).
